How to report a bug in Turtle
If you find any problems with Turtle or have a question about it that you can't find the answer for, please mail us at support@illuminatelabs.com.
We try to answer all support mails that we receive but we do not answer them in order. If you write a bad bug report you'll be sent to the murky bottom of our mailbox. To make sure that you are placed at the top of the heap you should include (if possible):
- A scene exhibiting the bug. If all we have to do is to press render to see the bug, your in a good position to get help. Also send the smallest scene possible. Every minute we spend cleaning up your scene is a minute less we spend on solving your problem.
- Screenshots of the problem / question with a clear explanation of the bug. We really don't care if you can spell correctly, but the message must be comprehensible. Don't even think about babelfishing. Also include information on what features you were using (fg/gi etc). A screen dump of the render globals is often a good start.
- Crashlogs and info about your system. Please attach the crashlogs (if any) and the platform you are using. (Mac/Intel/Amd/windows/Linux/Tiger/Panther etc. etc.) The more information the better. If you don't send it, chances are that we will ask you directly anyway.
